The girls came home with a letter from the school nurse yesterday saying, "a student in your child's kindergarten class has head lice". That's all I needed to read---- I felt lightheaded, sweaty, dizzy, faint. I couldn't even continue reading the letter--- I had to return to it later to read the part about checking your child's head and what to look for.
I googled head lice last night and read about how to identify lice/nits and how to treat them until I saw those yicky bugs in my sleep.
What, I ask you,
WHAT am I going to do if Gracie gets head lice with all of that hair? I can
*possibly* deal with Sophie getting it--- I can see myself sitting and picking out louse like a stinkin' monkey. But Grace? She has more hair than about 3 people put together. I gooped up her hair this morning with tons of hair gel and then braided it tightly because I heard through the grapevine that if you have a lot of product in your hair then the critters tend not to stick. I certainly hope that's good info.....
I'm afraid. Very afraid.
