Twins?

I can't begin to tell you how many times people have asked me if my girls were twins. Ummmm, nope not twins. ;-) The girls are 6 months apart in age and hail from different continents. Having said that, I can *almost* see why people have asked me if they're twins so many times by looking at this picture. It's a stretch, but I do agree that their hair is pretty much the same color and their skin color is similar. When Gracie grins, her round Mexican/Navajo eyes *almost* take on Sophie's tear-drop shaped Thai eyes.



Hmmmmmm--- yep, I can see it -- nope, I don't see it at all. ;-)

A gift of life

Tears are streaming down my face as I watch Dyamond's video. You see, Jacob was a student in my class when he was struck by a car on his way home from school. May God bless this young lady and Jacob's family.

Spring! Maybe....

It was beautiful outside today-- 70 degrees and sunny. Tonight we are supposed to get a snow storm with 6-12 inches of snow. Blech. Will winter never end?

Anyway, here are some pics I took today of the kids and dogs. The girls practiced riding their bikes minus the training wheels. Sophie got the hang of it quickly. Grace--well, not so quickly....

Sophie's riding adventure--- notice the crazy pants? I promise the girls didn't start out that mismatched. Their other clothes had gotten incredibly muddy from the many crashes---- and this is what they picked out.... What fashion sense!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!!

The girls celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday today at school. They wore their favorite Dr. Seuss shirts, ate green eggs & ham at school, made Dr. Seuss hats, and had all sorts of fun!!!
