yet MORE pics!

I am seriously at a loss. In addition to the fantastic pics my friend Tammy took, there was also another photographer at their photo session, Bobbi Yocum of Yocum Photography, and she blogged about the girls today. These pics are fabulous too! If the rest of the pics look anything like the pictures she posted in her blog, then I am truly going to have a HORRIBLE time deciding which photos to purchase. Aarrgggh!

Seriously. How am I going to choose?????

Happy day after Thanksgiving!

I'm thankful for my family.

I'm thankful that my family ONLY trusts me to bring deviled eggs and green beans to our Thanksgiving dinner (which is a step up from my usual pop contribution).  Our feast was amazing, and I'm not too proud to say that my green beans were awesome this year.  ;-)

What are Sophie & Grace thankful for? Take a look--- Gracie's says, "I love you, Love Gracie, I love my family, and Thank you God".  Awwwwwwww

Sophie's is a bit hard to read, but it says "God, Jesus, family, and water".  I guess the kid has her bases covered--- if Mama can't get her some water, then I'm pretty sure that Jesus or God will handle it for her.  ;-)

---my girls have some ideas of how to be our future turkey cookers.  ;-)

It is EXTREMELY important to get those eyeballs out!  ha ha

aarrggh!

The girls and I were getting ready to back out of the garage last night when I hit the garage door opener and, voila, the light came on (the danged thing has been burnt out for probably a year and a half).

Sophie: Wow, when did this happen?
Me:  Daddy changed the light bulb.
Sophie: Why didn't anybody tell me about this?!?!?!
Me:  I wasn't aware that I needed to tell you each time a light bulb got changed.
Sophie:  Ummmm, I live in this house too, you know.
Me:  Well, I'm terribly sorry.  I'll be sure to let you know next time.
Sophie:  Thank you.

Meanwhile, Grace is singing the song, "Rain makes corn, corn makes whiskey, whiskey makes my baby...."

Am I the only person who thinks we're abnormal?  Wait a minute--- don't answer that.  ;-)

more pictures!

My friend Tammy of Clarity Photography has added more pics of the girls on her blog.  Granted, these are but a few pics but after looking at them you'll realize my dilemma.  How on earth am I ever going to stop myself from spending a small fortune on these photos????????  They're absolutely perfect.  They're not only beautiful, but Tam seems to always capture my girls' personalities in the shots as well.  You can totally see Sophie's little diva attitude in the pics, and you can see my Gracie's sweetness shining through.

Santa Baby!

My sister & brother-in-law took the girls to Branson & Silver Dollar City this weekend and, according to the girls, they saw the real Santa, not those "fake mall helpers".

We heart Santa & Mrs. Claus!

Tis the season....

Sneak peeks!

My friend Tammy, the photographer, offered me a few sneak peeks of the session she did with the girls. I must say that I think they're GORGEOUS! I can't wait to see the rest of the photos.  If you're ever in the Tyler, TX area then you MUST book a session.  She's the best!

picture day!

Today the girls had a vintage-inspired photo shoot with not one, but two, awesome photographers!!!!! I can't wait to see the pics!!! My friend, Tammy, is a photographer in Tyler, TX and her friend, Bobbie, is a photographer in the Springdale/Fayetteville, AR area.  Anyhoooo, Tammy & her fam were driving up to the Fayetteville area, and I was lucky enough to schedule a session with BOTH of these fabulous gals at the same time!!!!

My sister actually made these dresses, and the girls sported long underwear underneath.  ;-)  It was freezing.  Brrrrrrr!!

Here we are in the hotel (which was awesome, by the way, and only cost me $45 through priceline.com) getting ready to meet up with the photographers.

Isn't the hat cute?  I found them (yes, Gracie had one too) online at Treasured by Holly, and I thought they fit perfectly with the photo theme.

Here are the girls and my sister, Cyndee, the brilliant seamstress of the family.  She made Grace's Halloween costume this year too.

Can you believe it?  I actually agreed to have myself in a picture with the girls.  Marvel at it because this is probably the one and only pic you'll see with me in it for a loonnnnggg time.

I can't wait until I can see the preview of the pictures!

How smart must I be to use a Smartphone????

I'm thinking that I'm definitely NOT smart enough!

I'm a brand new owner of a Samsung Acclaim Android SmartPhone.  Looks cool, right?  You can surf the internet, text, do those apps thingies.....  Easy to use, right?  Well, maybe if you're in the 12-24 year old age bracket.  For me?  Not so much.  I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing.  I have already lost all of my contacts, and I have only owned the phone for about 5 hours.

What have I done?!?!?!?!  Did I mention that I had our land line disconnected because I somehow thought we no longer needed it?  I'm doomed.

Aarrgghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Adoption Awareness Month

November is National Adoption Awareness Month.

My two beautiful, smart, well-adjusted, kind daughters are the best advocate for adoption that I could possibly show you, so here they are........

Adoption DOES work.  Not all adopted kids face every day of their lives with mental anguish over being adopted.  My daughters do not suffer in school when family trees are made.  They know who their parents are,  and they know that they are loved beyond belief.

These are my perfect babies---- NOT my adopted perfect babies.

Trick or treat

This poor dog would be Emma, my Mom's yorkie.

I have no idea what was so funny here, but I love how Gracie is giggling.

Arrrrrrrrrr!

Okay, so I have to give you some background on these next two pics......  We went to a "trunk or treat" at the square this year, and different organizations gave out candy.  These "candy sticks" (yes, that's apparently what they're calling them these days) were given out by a church.  Seriously.  ha ha  Sophie is holding the little sign to prove it.  Anyway, I realize that these pics are all sorts of wrong, but you have to admit they're also a bit funny.  So please, nobody e-mail me telling me how inappropriate they are--- I KNOW that already.  ;-)

This on just kills me..... so wrong yet so funny.  Sophie looks like she just came from a Marlboro commercial and Gracie looks like a biker chick.
