and how was your weekend?

Mine? Not so great.

I had an angioplasty to clear some veins on my heart on Friday. Not fun. Not fun at all. But, I guess it's better than the alternative, which I have experienced, so I can say that with a little bit of knowledge. I didn't get a stent this time, so I'm hoping & praying that the veins stay clear. The bright side is that it looks like I have a lot more blood flow to my heart. And I guess another bright side is that this is forcing me to get off of my lazy bum and eat correctly and exercise. I guess there is a silver lining. :-)

Obviously, I'm having a bit of a pity-party for myself. I'll get over it soon. I promise.

Spring Music Program

The girls had their Spring Program last Thursday, and I know I'm partial, but I thought they were adorable.

You can barely see Sophie in these videos--- there are glimpses of her on the bottom row, but you can definitely see Gracie dancing up a storm. ;-)

Bikers!!!

The girls have been practicing riding their bikes without training wheels, and they're getting quite good! I still don't trust them on gravel, but they have both been able to ride around the yard pretty successfully.

Here are a few pics I took last night----

Sophie caught on pretty quickly and can now ride all over the yard without crashing.

It took Grace a little longer, but once we lowered the seat on her bike she was able to ride pretty well. The falls were much more infrequent, and her meltdowns were manageable. ;-)

She's going.....

Crash.....

Getting up---- at this point I was patiently awaiting the scream of doom that I knew would be coming forth from her mouth.

But she's still happy! There is a God! ;-)

One mad kid!

Sophie & Grammy got into a little fight today over whether or not Sophie needed a jacket. Apparently my seemingly mild-mannered kid was stinkin' MAD at her grandma. Just take a look at the picture she drew---- the top person is Grammy, and that rectangular thing is a brick, yes a BRICK, falling on her head. The bottom person is Sophie sporting a major frown.

Violence may not be the answer to a problem, but it is kinda funny. hee hee
