little piggies

The girls have been sleeping together again (long story--- needless to say, we have sleep issues). When I went in the bedroom to wake them up this is what I saw..... the cutest little piggies ever!  The sheets were a mess.  Their feet were all tangled and so darned cute.

Can you guess which pair of feet belong to which girl?  They aren't even close in size anymore!

And here is a piggie shot of Gracie's baby feet---- I guess I've always been obsessed with their toes.  ;-)

Birthday scrapbooking pages.....

I am officially caught up with my scrapbook pages. I just need to get them all printed now, which is probably going to cost me a small fortune. But hey, it's the least I can do since I'm a terrible mother and didn't fill out the girls' baby books. At all.

Party Time!

Here are a few pics from Gracie's birthday party.  She also got new glasses yesterday.  So far she is loving them----- let's hope that continues once the newness wears off.

Yes, the child is actually kissing a Justin Bieber doll.  Yikes!  ;-)

Bieber Fever!

Yes, my girls have Bieber Fever.

I was blissfully unaware of that fact until just last week when Gracie (GRACIE!!) quietly informed me that "she has had Bieber Fever for a month or two now". I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Sophie, on the other hand, has been boy crazy since birth so she was no surprise. But Gracie? Nooooooo!!!!! Anyway, Gracie begged me to take her to the Justin Bieber movie for her birthday (which is tomorrow, by the way), but she absolutely positively did NOT want daddy to go with us to the movies. Ahhhh, at least we know that his teasing still can embarrass her--- we've given up on Sophie. ;-) Soooo, it was a girls day out to the big movie.

As I quietly sat through the movie watching young girls scream & cry over this kid I happened to glance over at my own children. Sophie was literally wiping her eyes. Crying!!!!! Over a pop star!!!!! At the age of 7!!!!!

Here are the girls sporting their Justin Bieber shirts (which is another thing that I have expressly forbidden in the past--- t-shirts of Hannah Montana, Justin Bieber, the Jonas Brothers, etc).  Obviously, I caved.....

newest scrapbook pages....

I have been on a scrapbooking frenzy, and I'm finally (well, almost) caught up!!!  Yay for me! The first four pages go in Gracie's book and the last three are Sophie's.

Tomorrow we're having a girls day out, and we're going to see the Justin Bieber movie.  ♫ ♪ ♬  The girls are overjoyed and have their Bieber Fever t-shirts ready to go!  Pray for me.   ;-)

Happy Birthday Gracie!

It's hard to believe, but my baby is turning 7 years old in a few days.   It seems like just yesterday we were rushing to the hospital to be at her birth. How lucky was I to be able to be in the delivery room with Gracie's birth mother?  Little did I know how much my life would change by the presence of a strapping 9 lb 12 oz beautiful baby girl.

♡♥♡♥♡♥ Happy Birthday my sweet little Valentine!!! ♡♥♡♥♡♥

What the heck?

Really. What the heck?

For Christmas my kids got every toy known to man. They possess BOTH a Wii and a Kinect, they have every silly Pet Shop toy there is, they have bikes, scooters, cameras, dogs, and each other----- yet they play with these?????

This first priceless toy is a rock.  Yes, a rock.  And it happens to be so valuable that Sophie HAD to write her name on it in permanent marker.... on my end table.... which now also has permanent marker on it.

And this?  This, my friends, is an empty water bottle.  Seriously.  The girls were playing with a rock and an empty water bottle.  Something is just not right in our world.  ;-)

Snowmaggedon 2011

Yes folks, it has happened! The blizzard has arrived, and it's INSANE!!!!!!

I took this pic this morning after a few hours of snow.  It's much worse now.  Yikes!

--and this is our road, Park Avenue.  Yes, we're that fancy.  Bet the Park Ave in NYC doesn't hold a candle to our hedge rows.  ;-)

It's still snowing like crazy after about 12 hours.  AND, I have cooked twice in the past two days.I definitely think this constitutes a Snowpocalypse--- or hell has frozen over---- one of the two.
