Super Bowl

Okay, so I know that the Super Bowl is quickly approaching. I honestly have no idea when the game is, or who is playing in it. I'm obviously not a big football fan. BUT I love love love Super Bowl commercials. Here is the all-time best Super Bowl commercial. It's from the 2002 Super Bowl and is a Budweiser ad paying tribute to the victims of 9/11.

Another snow day...

Well, today has been snow day number two. Normally I would be thrilled to have two snow days but, quite frankly, I have felt pretty yucky. I have a cold, you see, and I am a miserable human being to be around when I'm sick. The girls are staying with Grammy, Fred is essentially hiding out in the basement, and the dogs aren't even trying to stay too close.

At any rate, here is a video that made me smile today. I must really have some sort of psychological thing for random dancing. "Where the Hell Is Matt" is my all-time favorite site, and all Matt does is dance --- and not any better than me, I might add. Maybe that's why I love it so much. All bad dancers should unite! ;-) The people in this video, however, are great. Enjoy.

Dentist day---- Round Two

Gracie had her second visit to the dentist yesterday for another filling. She did GREAT! Once again, the dentist didn't have to give her a shot. I heard a whimper or two and there was a little flaring of the nostrils, but a tear wasn't shed. What a good girl! She even politely thanked Dr Mendez before we left.

By the way, Fred's car has FINALLY been fixed. I dunno, you tell me---- 1995 Toyota Corolla with over 260,000 miles on it--- cost $1000 to fix the distributor. Sure seems excessive to me!

Brrrrrrr!!!

It's cold. Really cold. Really really cold. Brrrrr!

I got to stay home with the girls yesterday, and I loved it. I'm so jealous of stay-at-home moms. It was great getting to take the girls to PreSchool and to be able to watch them learning and participating in class. My babies are growing up.

And Fred's car STILL isn't fixed. Sheesh!

Gracie's dentist visit

Well, she did it! Gracie had a cavity filled at the dentist yesterday, and we both lived to tell the tale!!!!! I was so proud of her. Luckily, the dentist was able to fill her tooth without giving her a shot. I'm not sure how the appointment would have gone if a needle had been used. ;-) Anyway, one filling down and one to go.... hopefully her next visit will be as easy as this one was....

Oh, and Fred's car STILL isn't fixed. How ridiculous is that?!?!
