Cavities? NOOOOO!!!!!

So yesterday was Gracie's turn to sit in the dentist's chair. I was SO WORRIED about how she would behave, but she was perfect (other than complaining about the light blinding her eyes). BUT, she has two cavities that need to be filled. DANGIT!!!!! Why have both of my kids gotten cavities??? They brush their teeth faithfully. I never sent them to bed with juice or milk, so what is going on?!?!?!?!?!? Dr Mendez thinks that he may be able to fill Gracie's cavities without giving her a shot, so I'm very hopeful that it will work out that way.... Oh, and he also asked me if she is a thumb-sucker so I see braces in her future as well. :-(
