Haiti-- and my sweet girl

Tonight the girls and I were discussing the horrible earthquake in Haiti and how the Haitian people needed our help. All of a sudden Sophie said, "I came home right before the big wave hurt Thailand, but I might have needed help if I was still there. We can take the money from my piggy to send to those people".

I cried.

Needless to say, our family will be sending a donation to help in the rescue efforts. Will you? A local physician, Dr Jim Wilkins, and his wife have been medical missionaries in Haiti for 11 years. If you would like to contribute to the Haiti Health Ministries clinic in which they serve you can do so here:

Don't blame you for crying - I teared up just reading that! What a devastatingly BIG idea for precious Sophie to understand. Much love to your sweet girls!!

Awwwwwe! Now that's a sensitive soul. Gotta love that Posey girl. Bless her little heart. We gave through Holt, our adoption agency; they have a link through their site.

Interestingly enough, you probably remember that we got our assignment for Lily 8 days before the tsunami. Boy, was I on edge for days before I knew she was all right.
