Chewer the dog...

It has been a very, very bad couple of days. This photo is of Grace and one of the neighbor dogs that Gracie called Chewer. She & Sophie adored the little dog. A neighbor shot and killed him yesterday for no reason other than Chewer was in their yard. It is actually a very long story, but this little dog ended up being abandoned by one man, and then another man shot him (we know this because his wife told my mom). I found him thrown in a ditch. I picked him up and buried him in our yard because he deserved, at the very least, to be buried. My girls are devastated and cried like I have never heard them cry in their lives. Their Pre School teacher said they were very teary at school today too. I'm so sick over this and have no idea how any human could possibly be so cruel.
