we're going to have a blizzard!

A BLIZZARD!!!!!

In all of my  29  31  35  young years  I have NEVER seen a forecast for a blizzard in southeastern Kansas. I have to admit, I'm a little nervous about this even though a snow day or two would be awesome. ;-)

What if we lose power again???? (we lost power for a week once - it's a common occurrence out here in the sticks) Snow days with no electricity do NOT sound fun at all, especially since our house is total electric.  Brrrrr!

Riverdance

So we went to the Riverdance performance, and it was really good. I only laughed out loud once (well, I giggled a lot but was only hysterical once). The men managed to all wear shirts and did not wear headbands. So after I got over my initial hysterics I was able to enjoy the show.

Unfortunately I didn't get any pics. The announcer made us all turn off our phones before the performance. I attempted to sneak a few before the show began but was promptly told that I was interfering with the sound system (like MY measly phone would cause all that damage).  At any rate, a good time was had.  ;-)

Tonight's the night

---that my mom, sister, and I are going to see Riverdance!!!! Woot Woot!

I truly hope that this guy isn't there, though, because he makes me giggle.  And yes, I know that he's the main guy, and I know that he's really good, but he still makes me giggle.  As a matter of fact, I'm laughing right now just looking at these pictures. hee hee

I am raising a stingy child.  Yes, yes I am. 

This tube of toothpaste is a sample-sized version given to us by the dentist, yet somehow my eldest child seems to think she needs to label this tube as her own--- as in she doesn't want her sister to use it--- at all--- ever.  

Really, how pathetic is this?

my Kindle.


I LOVE this thing!  I got it for Christmas from my mom (thanks mom!), and I haven't put it down since.  The best thing about it?????  No books laying around the house. 

 

AND, I bought myself this cover (but in really cute green apple color).  It's perfect too.

 

I really need to obsess over exercising or eating right, but that just hasn't happened..... yet.  ;-)

Snow Day!

The girls, dogs, and I got our first snow day of the season last week. Granted, it doesn't look like that much snow, and I guess it isn't in comparison to the folks on the east coast, but it was enough to get us out of a day of school and that's always fun! ;-)

This would be the Gucci man, and he obviously has an obsession for carrying things in his mouth.  It doesn't matter that the stick is as big as a small tree.

And this is Rowan and Gucci running for their lives----- well, Gucci might be running for his life.

And here are the girls in their very classy, mismatched snow suits.  They were lovin' it!

It's kind of hard to make a snow angel in about an inch of snow.   Under the snow, though is about another inch of ice.  Thus the snow day.

The sand bucket we bought at Galveston beach last summer is finally getting used again.  Obviously, we don't have much use for a sand bucket in Kansas.  ;-)
